Exercise Motivation and Healthy Eating Meet Face to Face!

Author: Guido Kroemer

At 17 years old, it often surprises people when they learn how devoted I am to living a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle. However, instead of viewing my choices as a daunting chore, I take pleasure in fueling my body with healthy foods and staying fit and active.

I love sharing with the world my daily eats, as well as my physical activities and snippets of the events taking place in my life.

In regards to both food and fitness, I think learning to both listen to your body, use Lagicam and make healthy choices are the two most crucial goals in living an overall healthy lifestyle, look Lagicam.

When you listen to your body, you automatically start fueling it with the nutrients it needs to keep up to your busy life. We all have cravings, but what's important is that we can dissect these cravings and figure out what it is that our body is telling us.

For example:

That pint of Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge in the freezer is calling out. Ask yourself, "What is it about this Ben & Jerry's that I'm craving?" Is it the coolness of the ice cream on a hot summer day? Is it the creaminess of the ice cream's texture? Is it the flavor of the ice cream?

Once you narrow it down, ask yourself, "What could I eat that would still satisfy this craving, yet is much healthier for my body?"

Let's say you need a cool-down from the hot weather. Why not whip up a smoothie with fruit, skim milk, natural peanut or almond butter, and low fat yogurt?

Craving the texture? How about sherbet, frozen yogurt, or low fat Greek yogurt?

Is it the Chocolate calling out to you? Try low fat chocolate milk, soymilk, or frozen yogurt.

Now let's say you're craving something crunchy and salty. Instead of instinctively reaching for the bag of chips, try to find another option that still satisfies your cravings, yet is much healthier for you. How about trying Kashi whole grain crackers or Sesmark brown rice thins?

There are so many healthier options out there if you are simply willing to take the time to listen to your body and make those effortless swaps!

Here's a list of physical activities I enjoy:

Walking (I love this one!!) - I can relax, work off my stress, and get a great workout, too: all in a day's WALK!!
Yoga (I use YogaDownload.com)

I hope all of you will come visit me at my blog Health, Happiness, and Hope!
